How to prevent getting scammed on discord?

Well, I recently came across a YouTube videos where a person was trying to scam people by selling them artwork. These kind of scams are now becoming more and more popular on discord and other platforms as well. So, how do you avoid such kind of scams?

Discord scams has turn into a full-time job for some people . This is exactly why I stopped clicking random DMs. You would see a lot of fake payment proof there. So, my rule now is simple, if it's too smooth, it's a scam. So, you need to verify twice before doing anything.

selling something isn't a scam. It is legit way to make money. However, what is important is whether the product or service someone is trying to sell is good or not, whether you actually receive product or service you bought is valuable or not. You don't get scammed on Discord unless you end up spending money on service or product that aren't good or sell service and never get your money

Don't join a random server and don't spend any money on services or products being offered through Discord. Do your own research before buying something or trusting someone on Discord.
