For some people that are working online, they prefer to get advanced payments from their online clients before they start the work. For me, I don't. I prefer to start and finish the work before I demand for payment. Do you do advanced payments for your online gigs?

Upfront payment is my preference! especially when the client is new and first timer. Now, there is a lot of scams and before you know it, you have been scammed. You have to play smart. If it is a business relationship that have lasted for sometime, i will accept to receive payment after finishing the job.

In most cases I prefer to be paid part of the money upfront, say 30-50%. In that manner, I’ll be able to spread the risk. I don't want to fall victim to being ghosted.

I've never worked for any clients who paid me after the job. If a client is not willing to pay completely before I start walking, I will cancel the contract job.

Personally, I don't like to get paid in advance.Because for me, it's that much more satisfying to know you're going to receive all that money at the end

I personally don't prefer to be paid in advance for my online work. I love to put in my diligence, do the job, and you appreciate it enough to pay me. Keeping payment till after the job ensures that I don't have to be complacent with delivering the job. It places me in a position of responsibility.

I like to get paid in advance but I can also accept after work payment from clients with whom I have been working for a while and clients who are trust worthy.

Most times i prefer completing the job before i get paid, but there are cases where I don't mind being paid part of it, then once the work is completed, i can be paid the remaining part.

I have had a lot of negative experiences in the past about payments. Because of that I make sure I get at least 70 percent of payment before I start work at all.

Yes, I would have prefer to get payment in advance but I have never been lucky to have such a client. I like this method because it helps keep you in the mood to work.
