The safest way is to start very small and move up slowly. Play low-stakes games, protect your bankroll with strict limits, and only move up when you have enough buy-ins to handle variance. You will have to focus on consistent decision-making, not quick profit.
 
Just do away with all those “double your bankroll quick” advice online. That's where many people lose control. If you really wants to build a small bankroll safely, freerolls and tiny micro stakes still make the most sense. Slow money is better than emotional damage.
 
It is really difficult to build your bankrolls with freerolls, they have a lot of rules for wagering. However, I believe micro stakes are good for building your bankroles without pressure.
