The poker boom was a period between 2003 and 2006 where many new players were getting involved with poker.
Online poker sites were thriving, and it seemed like poker would only keep rising in popularity.

How can we bring the poker boom back?

hopefully we get another big poker boom but after "covid" i thought was its best shot, but maybe it is booming already with sites having million dollar gtds weekly which wasnt really a thing when i started in the moneymaker boom, might just be perspective and feels different now, alot of us grew up playing cards out of boredom where as kids these days have cellphones to play with. this is my opinion and its probably off but i dont think there will be a big influx of new players as such but the new players coming through will be tech rich and fun players. game selection will be even more important though. hard to explain without it sounding crazy lol. there is still money to be made in poker as is though thats for sure

You're probably right, covid was probably the best shot for online poker to boom again. I wish I was smarter when I got money from CERB.

I believe that there's a chance we might witness poker boom again like it was few years but the main thing that needs to happen is more players winning big and for such wins to go viral. It's going to influence a lot of people out there to join again.

Two measures that I think can catalyze a poker boom. The first measure is to try and make the poker game more attractive to draw in more new enthusiasts and players. And when they come in, there should be a way for them to learn and master poker at least at the basic level without the learning curve being so steep. Big events and more low stake games would really help.

Another measure that can bring about poker boom is more promotion and exposure. Poker is not really well promoted. We need more streamers and more social media influencers affiliated to poker.

This is definitely one of the best strategy which can be employed to help poker boom again. There's no amount of advertising and promotion that can be said to be too much as far as I'm concerned in this situation. More people need to know about poker, learn how to play and join the mix.

More people winning is definitely going to play a big role in drawing more people to get involved in playing poker. This is more like what we saw in the cryptocurrency bull run when some people won so much money via trading.

Bringing back the poker boom would probably require a combination of strategic approaches and fresh ideas to capture the attention of a new generation. First, we'd need more accessible and user-friendly online platforms that make it easy for anyone to jump in and start playing without feeling overwhelmed. The technology needs to be smooth, mobile-friendly, and welcoming to complete beginners who might be intimidated by traditional poker rooms.

Yeah, the more people are cashing out big from playing poker and also posting about their wins, a lot of people who are having cold feet to join will be influenced very well. The recent cryptocurrency bull run was a crazy experience. Did you have any profits from it?

Organising a bigger and global tournaments can do some charm in bringing back poker boom once again from the way I see it. This means poker will be advertised on international scale inviting the whole world to participate.

I think the next poker boom won't come from poker alone. It needs entertainment as well. The 2003 boom happened because ordinary people saw someone relatable win big. These days attention spans are different. People are jumping between TikTok videos and livestreams every minute. If poker wants another explosion, it needs creators to push it.

I think a major televised event might bring in more interest in Poker. A popular streamer or creator bringing new players in can lead to crypto boom. Things like easier access to online poker, and a big tournament that captures people's attention would be good.

I think sponsoring major events like sports tournaments, music festivals, or even movie festivals will help Poker to gain popularity. Poker needs more marketing for gaining massive popularity.

Promoting poker in sports tournaments can bring in a lot of interest. I see sports betting being promoted during sports tournaments and I think they can do the same for poker.
