Chasing losses is one of the major mistakes in poker or any other casino games. When you try to chase losses, you make more mistakes, and you end up losing more money. Don't get this wrong impression that you can recover you losses immediately.

Chasing losses is worst mistake you can ever make as a player. It can definitely lead you to bigger losses. Because you allow your emotions to get involved. It will be very tempting.

For me chasing losses is a disorder and the behaviour that most reliably converts a manageable loss into a serious one.. One need to chase losses. We just have to disciplined ourselves to stop no need chasing losses at too-high stakes

I agree. Chasing losses often leads to emotional decisions, bigger bets, and even greater losses. The danger is believing that one more game will recover everything, when there is no guarantee of winning. Sometimes, the smartest decision is to walk away, accept the loss, and protect whatever money you still have.

If you attempt to automatically recover losses whenever you lose, you are going against your own strategy—unless your strategy specifically allows for it. You must remain steadfast in your strategy, whether you win or lose; do not try to recover losses quickly the moment they occur, as this is the primary reason accounts get wiped out. You will lose all your money if you do that.
