What’s the ideal starting bankroll for your stakes?

I believe it helps to treat poker as a side hobby. I find it much easier to manage a smaller bankroll when I have income outside of poker, since it removes the added pressure to win.

How Important is Table Image in Online MTTs?

If you fold too often, it becomes easy for others to predict that you’re waiting for premium hands. You need to mix it up to stay unpredictable. I occasionally like to limp with suited connectors during the early stages.

Do you post your wins online?

Sharing a win doesn’t really expose your financial situation, but I respect that some members may prefer to keep their results private. Personally, I enjoy posting my bigger wins, it helps bring more engagement and can attract new members to the community.

    PKO/Bounty Tournament Strategy

Do you adjust your ranges significantly in bounty tournaments? How do you balance bounty hunting with solid play? I generally approach PKO tournaments like any other, but I may play a bit more aggressively when bounties are in play. It also depends on the action at my table.

    Re-Entry Strategy: Worth the Risk?

How does having re-entries available change your strategy? Are you more willing to take marginal spots early? I think it encourages looser play, but I’m not sure if that’s optimal in the long run. I usually re-enter at least once, but I limit myself to a maximum of two entries.

When to Shift Gears in a Tournament

At what point in a tournament do you shift from a more conservative approach to a more aggressive style? Do you base it on blind levels, stack sizes, or table dynamics? I usually start adjusting once the antes kick in and the field is no longer deep-stacked.

Can you build a bankroll from freerolls in 2026?

With all the changes in poker over the years, is it still realistic to grind up from $0?

Shot-taking strategy: how do you do it?

I don’t really have a set strategy for taking shots in bigger games or tournaments, but I’m curious how others approach it. When do you decide to take a shot at higher buy-ins?

Aggressive vs conservative bankroll management, which is better?

Playing under-rolled can boost growth but also increases risk of ruin. Do you think it’s worth it to be aggressive, or is slow and steady always the better route?

Cash games vs tournaments: different bankroll strategies

Tournament variance is brutal compared to cash games. Do you keep separate bankrolls or just adjust buy-in rules? Curious how people approach this.

Do You Prefer Large Field or Small Field MTTs?

Obviously, taking 1st place in large-field tournaments is a huge win, but in most events the top 15% get paid, giving you a solid chance to cash for a decent amount. It takes more skill to win a large-field tournament since you have to outlast more players, but I think they’re ultimately more...

Play to Min Cash vs Play to Win, What’s Your Approach?

Stack sizes play a huge role in how I approach a tournament. When I’m short-stacked, I shift into a double-up-or-fold mindset. With a deeper stack, I play tighter but still look for spots to chip up or collect dead money. Blinds tend to increase quickly online, so being too patient can cost you...

How Tight Should You Play in Early Tournament Stages?

Freeroll tournaments are a great way to get started. We also host a weekly $25 freebuy for PCF members on StockPoker every Monday at 4 PM EST.

How Do You Adjust Your Strategy Based on Payout Jumps?

You shouldn’t be results-oriented. Focus on making the best decisions in key situations and always play to win, variance will reward strong habits over the long run. For example, I might adjust my strategy around pay jumps. If two players are already all-in ahead of me, I may fold a marginal...

Why Do Many Players Lose Money Playing Too Many Hands?

I often get bored while I play, but music helps me focus.

What's your favorite way to spend time with friends?

At a poker table or drinking at the beach.

Which free app that you think is too good to be free?

I think apps like Grok or ChatGPT are almost too good to be free, considering how much you can accomplish with AI. That said, I’m glad they are free to use, unless you choose to pay for upgrades.

What are your favorite video games to play on console or PC?

Right now, my favorite game is Palworld, even though I’m still waiting for the 1.0 release. EA Sports NHL is also always among my favorites. I still haven’t played NHL 26. I usually wait a few years before picking up the next version since it’s often just a slightly improved upgrade of the...

Anthony Joshua has accepted a fight with Tyson Fury, but it’s not official yet.
