This should depend on your risk tolerance level. If you have high risk tolerance level, you can play high volatility games. But if you have low tolerance level, you should stick to playing low volatility games.- Nomad

Comparing Slots and Poker
I don't think it is good to compare between two entirely different things. Poker is a game where you need skills and luck, slots is just a game of luck. Poker is not entire gambling, where as slots is entirely gambling.- Nomad

Yes, they encourage longer session without players noticing you. In our country, some casinos even buy you a plane ticket if you lost all of your money and don't have money to go back to your home. This is usually for those who come from other countries and have lost a lot of money- Nomad

This has happened to me a couple of times but that wasn't due to losing in poker but losing in casino games. I started with $100 and I lose all in a single session. It was so disturbing that I lost sleep- Nomad

If you aren't very skilled, you lose. If you are having a bad day, you lose. If you aren't skilled and at the same time you are also having a bad day, you will be on a losing streak.
