I really appreciate that! And much love to PCF....the main reason I'm depositing is to have some rebuy cushion for the poker.community grind games. I only play NLHE so I gotta maximize those opportunities. (y)
Anyone know how long it takes for a deposit to go through on Stock? I made a modest (around $11) deposit last night using MATIC (Polygon). The transaction is listed as "complete" on my exchange, but the money isn't in my account yet.
I chose MATIC basically at random, and I only eff with...
Yeah, it is, but you pay a monthly subscription fee (rather than buying into tournaments directly), for which you get in-game currency, which you can then spend in tournaments and win more in-game currency, which you can turn around and exchange for real money.
But as I said, IMO they don't...
Now you can deposit. When I posted that before when you couldn't, I think you could sort of consider that was something of an open beta. Now I still play there. Advantages: Fairly fishy, big prize pools. Disadvantages: software is poor and features are limited (my personal gripe is that you...
I sometimes think about what I might say to induce calls or folds without coming up with anything I feel certain to try yet. I just know I never, ever, ever, ever want to become like Will Kassouf, who wears his opponents down by never shutting up. Hate hate HATE players like that.
I miss Poker Superstars and Ultimate Poker Challenge, the latter of which was hosted by Chad Brown (RIP), ex-bf of Vanessa Rousso. Hard to find these two shows online as well.
The reason I phrase it this way is IMO we are too caught up with GTO and solvers, when your opponents (much more often than not) will not be playing optimally, and therefore, I think exploitable is still the way to go.
What tilts me is when I get beat by a dumb/donk/fishy move, and what helps me allay that tilt is remembering that, in the long, dumb/donk/fishy players in the game are good for good players, and it's good when they win and think their dumb moves are good, it means they will stick around.
I do my best with tennis and boxing, although I'm on a losing streak with tennis.
I haven't had time to do this myself, but some good advice I've heard is this: get familiar with an obscure sport or league (e.g., Latvian football, or ITF/low level tennis), and bet on that. Reason: Sportsbooks...
I probably lose more than I win, but only because I very frequently bet like $1 on who I want to win, just to make it that much more fun, rather than who I think will win.
When I actually study and place educated bets, I'm probably a bit better, but strangely, the more sure I am of a bet, the...
I agree with this, although I do appreciate that they all have guaranteed prize pools. These are probably money makers for Stock Poker.
One thing that frustrates me about Stock Poker is that they have these step tournaments to live events in Rozvadov (Czech Republic, I believe), and I cannot...
Oh yes...ClubWPT is soft as hell, maybe the softest site I have ever played on, but IMO the juice isn't worth the squeeze because they only run about 1 tournament a day where it's possible to recoup the monthly fee ($33), and of course each of these tournaments has thousands of runners.
You can...
