Home games can be a great way to play poker in a more relaxed environment, but I wonder if some newer players feel intimidated about joining a game where they don't know anyone.

Do you think new or inexperienced players are too intimidated to join established home games? What could regular players or hosts do to make newcomers feel more comfortable?
