CoinPoker has launched a new micro-stakes tournament called the Daily Dollar, giving players the chance to compete for much larger prize pools for just a $1 buy-in.
The Daily Dollar runs Monday through Saturday with a $1,000 guaranteed prize pool, while the Sunday edition features a larger $5,000 guarantee. CoinPoker ambassador Mario Mosböck has described it as the “smallest buy-in trophy event in the world,” with tournament winners receiving a digital trophy for their CoinPoker Trophy Cabinet.
The first Sunday edition took place on August 16 and attracted 3,740 entries from 2,375 unique players. The tournament originally carried a $3,000 guarantee but generated a $3,440 prize pool, prompting CoinPoker to increase the following Sunday guarantee to $5,000.
Player “Dnxx” entered three times and ultimately won the tournament, taking home $453 along with the first Daily Dollar Sunday trophy.
Players can enter directly for $1, but there are also several ways to get into the tournament without paying the full buy-in.
Satellites start at just $0.10 and award 25 Daily Dollar tickets, while special freerolls award 100 tickets. CoinPoker's micro-stakes rewards program can also provide players with up to three Daily Dollar tickets per week, which can be used for the Sunday edition.
