A lot of poker players want to turn professional but it is not easy as many people will make us believe. It's not a child's play. It need high level of dedication, discipline, mental exertion, unending hours of grinding, downswing etc
If you want to be a professional poker player you better understand the level of commitment you will give to start seeing results!

It sounds exciting in theory being your own boss, traveling to tournaments, potentially making good money. But the reality seems pretty stressful with all the ups and downs, no steady income, and constant pressure to perform. I think I'd prefer it as a serious hobby rather than my main job.

Traveling to the big tournaments and trying to defeat one's opponents is super exciting, but the grind, the psychological toll, and swings in finances are very enormous. I would probably enjoy poker more as a side hustle, getting to enjoy that thrill without betting my entire livelihood on it.
