I think the better players are able to recognize when they have leaks in their own game, and make adjustments to try and prevent those situations or hands from happening again.

I regularly review my game to detect any losing strategies. I discovered that I frequently make mistakes when playing pocket pairs since I play them more often than necessary which leads to losing against opponents with better hands.
