Most online poker rooms have a built-in feature where you can write down notes on players, and on StockPoker you can also assign a color to a players avatar.

I rarely ever keep any notes on players, but I have recently started to assign players certain colors. Red to avoid, blue for fish.

Do you use the notes feature at all when you play online?

It's very essential for players to track their playing styles, and weaknesses which is the major reason why I utilize the player notes extensively. It helps me make informed decisions.

It varies and depends

In recent years ive learnt to write notes properly but i mainly observe then assign a color 1st. anything out of the ordinary is noted for future spots. good to note some players early in mtts just incase you come to the same kind of spot near or at an FT. i used to note players in sngs often that helped me make $ in key spots

The color thing is one of my favorite features do use on StockPoker. It helps me keep track of players to avoid unless I'm strong, most the time. I do get creative, and make moves...on anybody.

i like using colors alot too it really helps with what ranges to play with people more than specific notes for me

I always seem to be distracted when I want to use the note talking feature that online poker rooms provide. I actually do use color coding so that I can have quick reads. But I don't really bother about taking notes while playing online poker.

The color feature has helped me a lot and is especially useful when you regularly play against the same opponents. I’ve changed players’ colors before, and I still do when I feel they’ve improved or when I realize I may have originally labeled them incorrectly out of frustration.
