Home advantage still matters but not like before. These players travel with private jets, sleep inside five-star hotels and play on perfect pitches. I was talking about this during the last Champions League round. Some away teams even look more comfortable than home sides now. Crowd pressure is not strong again for many leagues.

There is a certain boost that players get when they play in a stadium that is fully packed with their fans. Look at when matches were played without fans in the stadium during the pandemic, home wins reduced in the top European leagues. Now home wins have doubled from that as fans return to the stadium.

It no longer matter that much since there's no longer away home and away goal advantage. The only advantage there is having more of your club fans cheer the team to play better and win.
