If you could erase one controversial call in sports history, which would it be and why?

The defective "no-call" during the 2019 NFC Championship between the Saints and the Rams would be my first selection to eliminate from sports history. Pass interference went unmarked in that play which prevented the Saints from succeeding in the championship game and reaching the Super Bowl. Many Saints supporters still bear the unsettling memory of the game-changing officiating error.

There is no other call that I would love to erase in the history of football than that Frank Lampard's cancelled goal against Argentine in the 2014 world cup. It was later that people realized through replays that it was a goal. Even the referee admitted that he made a mistake. But nothing could be done as England already lost woefully to Argentina because of that error call.

Maradona's 'hand of God' in Mexico 1986 have gone down in history of football as one of most audacious and fraudulent goal ever. That's single mistake gave Argentina their first world cup title. That's Maradona's goal have affected the popularity of football till date and bring a lot of regulation in football. If am given opportunity, that match should be replayed!

The goal by Frank Lampard which was denied was an obvious error and the most painful thing is that it influenced the outcome of the match.

Argentina were leading by one goal at the time. If that Lampard's goal stood, it would have been a different ball game from there as the scores would have been levelled at 1-1. But that call demoralized the entire English team and they ended up losing 4-1. But I am happy that Germany dealt with Argentina in the quarter finals.

The infamous event involving Diego Maradona hand tapping the ball before scoring the goal in the World Cup of 1986 known as "Hand of God" is unforgettable. A lot of people still talk about it to this day.
