Some players have solid fundamentals but play scared, while others play aggressively with confidence and get results.

How much does mindset affect your win rate?
 
I think skill is more important than confidence. Having said that confidence helps you apply that skill properly. Without it, players hesitate or second-guess decisions. Too much confidence without skill becomes recklessness.
