It is standard practice in my country. If you are owing the bet shop, you would have to drop something valuable like your phone till when you bring their money. A particular incident I saw warranted a man to drop his car because he played and overshot the amount of money he came with.

Have you ever had to drop a personal belonging in a bet shop because you are owing the bet shop?

No! I don't near betting shops because i don't like the type of gamblers i see there. A lot of miscreants and foul smelling dudes use to gather in betting shop. Coupled by the insecurity and police brutality in my country, i prefer to stay indoor and stake on my betting apps or websites. Therefore I have no business with betting shops

Dropping your property in exchange for a bet is crazy. That is more than enjoyment, it's an addiction. I’ve seen people owe shops before, and the pressure is just too much. Betting is supposed to be a small risk, not a life problem.

Life is like a game of poker: it is not about what cards you are dealt, but how you play them.
