Game of poker is a game of probability or chance. Anybody even novice have chance but more discipline players and skillful players stands a better chance of winning. Therefore, i will say that the above statement is half truth. Discipline can give you edge but not all the time. Sometimes, inexperience poker players don't know how many times experience players have lose hands in game of poker.

I always tell people that poker is never a sprint, but a marathon. A few times, "beginner's luck" happens. But consistency is what makes you really excel in poker. You have to be super consistently good with your decision making to ever be a constant winner in poker.

I agree on the point that discipline puts a player ahead, but poker is unpredictable by all means. Even the experienced might experience bad beats or other weird table events. The Secret of long-term success is based on regularity and flexibility.

That's completely true. Poker doesn't care about your bad luck stories or excuses. the cards and money don't lie. If you're disciplined with bankroll management, study, and emotional control, you'll do well long-term. But if you chase losses, play tilted, or make excuses, the game will crush you every time.
