Strong regulation protects people from harm related to gambling. Unchecked betting can also lead to addiction, debt, and fraud. There should be regulations on betting advertising and age limits. Regulation effectively prevents all forms of illegal betting. More rules won't ruin the fun, rather make betting safer.

Betting suppose to be tightly regulated but you should know that government always need money to solve one problem or another and some that should be diverted. Government doesn't care if the bettor is having deep financial problems or want to commit to suicide! Most government is run by people who lacks conscience and morality to govern.

The first regulation that I've seen in sports betting is the age limit. Anyone not above 18 years is not allowed to play games. So, it is more like saying that once you've reached that age, you have the power to take decisions while standing with it.

I believe that betting should be strictly regulated, especially the online betting platforms. The rate that underage individuals are engaging in online gambling is already alarming. There should be a way government can force gambling sites to be more responsible to prevent underage gambling.
