Should referees and officials be banned from betting?

Referees and officials are directly facing the game. Allowing them to bet can impose unfair results or result in match-fixing. Even a slight decision from the referee could tarnish the image of the sport. Most sports organizations ban gambling for their officials for fairness.

If referees and officials are directly involved in gambling, the integrity of sports will be tarnished. Secondly, it can make some officials stupidly corrupt and stinking rich that they will not depend on the game for livelihood. While it is tightly regulated, some clever dudes still scale through and make sizable gains for themselves

Even the players and athletes should never bet on sports they are pros in. It would completely put that sports into disrepute. I don't think it is allowed in soccer for players, coaches and officials to bet.
