Well, that feeling of chasing losses is very brutal. I once doubled down after a bad beat and I just dug myself even deeper. The big lesson I learnt was to walk away while you still can. On the flip side, I’ve learned to actually enjoy the entertainment side rather than thinking of "I'll win big” kind of thinking.

One lesson that I know has helped many when it comes to gambling and preventing them from getting deeper and deeper into debt is to stop while you can and walk away. The longer you stick around and continue with the same pattern, the worse it will get. You need to get that willpower and be strict with yourself and strong.

I really had to learn self discipline practically when I started sports betting. It was after I lost money severally with chasing losses that I leaned to set a budget and walk away when that limit is hit. That has helped me in several other aspects of life like investment and dieting.

I haven’t gambled myself but I’ve seen how chasing losses can be brutal. The biggest lesson seems to be knowing when to step away and not let frustration take over. It also shows the value of enjoying the experience for what it is, instead of just focusing on winning big.

To be honest, you summarised it well enough. Chasing losses doesn't end well more often. I learned that the hard way before I start to calm myself down. The moment you understand that walking away is a part of the game, everything changes.

Gambling with everything - money that someone have is a big mistake because when there's no guarantee of winning, it's the quickest way to being bankrupt.
