I do admit sometimes it irks me when my friends refer to my poker playing as gambling. Whilst I agree poker is a form of gambling, there's skill involved, and I'm a winning player. It's not a gamble, if you never go broke.

Thoughts?

It can make you feel some kind of way when you think about it. But playing poker is a different game entirely as it's based solely on skill and decision-making and not solely on luck like other games.

When am still new to gambling, if you call me a gambler, i will be uncomfortable. But now, i know better because i don't give a damn about people's opinion about my life. Moreover, i don't gamble, i invest!

It really hurts when being called a gambler as a poker player. The very truth is that the people that call poker players gamblers do so as a result of ignorance. They don't know how much we poker players put in to master probabilities, and opponents psychology to do well in poker. They think that poker is just like other gamblings like sports betting that is all about chance. So I just let it slide because such name calling of a poker pro a gambler stems from ignorance.
