Thread 'Foxen Finally Beats the Best to Win "Dream" WSOP $25K High Roller Title'
Two years ago, Kristen Foxen made it clear that her next major goal was to win a World Series of Poker bracelet in what she described as a "tougher" field, saying she wanted to capture one in “an event you feel a bit prouder of.” In Event #19: $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em, Foxen found exactly what she was looking for, and completely conquered it. The Canadian outlasted a field of 345 entries stacked with elite pros at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas to capture a historic sixth...
Thread 'Jeff Madsen Seizes Fifth Career WSOP Bracelet With Dealers Choice Victory'
Jeff Madsen exploded on the poker tournament scene in 2006, winning that year’s World Series of Poker Player of the Year race after taking down two bracelets and making four final tables. While the then University of Santa Barbara student’s first two wins both came in no-limit hold’em, he managed deep runs in several mixed-game events that first year, placing third in the $2,000 Omaha eight-or-better and third in the $1,000 stud eight-or-better. Two decades later, Madsen is still a force to...
Yes like that. Poker villain and fan favorite Martin Kabrhel had an early exit from the $25,000 High Roller Six Handed No-Limit Hold’em event at the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP), lasting all but one hand to earn himself a "free afternoon." There were dozens of late registrants in Day 2 of the $25,000 buy-in event, and Kabrhel was one of them. But his second and final bullet would be short-lived as he tangled with fellow high-stakes pro Nick Petrangelo with a hand that he described as...
I decided to bring back a forum section for anyone interested in building poker websites and software. When we first launched PCF, we had a Webmaster Forum dedicated to affiliates, poker site owners, and developers. It was a great place to discuss site management, marketing, software, and the business side of online poker. This time, the section is here to stay. I've added it as a subforum within our Online Poker category, giving members a dedicated space to share ideas, ask questions...

For decades, fans of the World Series of Poker have been limited to tournament coverage, bracelets, final tables, and structured events. But tonight’s broadcast changes that dynamic by stepping directly into the high-pressure world of no-limit cash games, where...

Inside South Korea's Hidden Poker World It’s midnight in Seoul, a city where poker exists in a strange legal gray area. South Korea maintains some of the strictest gambling laws in the world, making most forms of wagering illegal for its citizens. Yet despite those restrictions, poker has quietly grown into a thriving underground culture. While the country remains best known for its esports scene, countless players spend their nights studying Texas Hold'em, Omaha, and even Badugi, a draw...

There’s a special kind of pain poker can give you. It's not those normal pain. I’m talking about that pain where you stare at the screen after losing a hand and start convincing yourself the universe is personally against you. You replay everything in your head. Why did he call that? How did my flush lose? This game is rigged. Meanwhile, deep down, one tiny voice is whispering the truth: you misplayed that hand. Poker is funny like that. No motivational speech. No warning, it's just...
The long-running debate over poker greatness has taken another turn, as professional poker player Shaun Deeb recently suggested that Phil Hellmuth is fully aware of the possibility that his long-held record for most World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets may eventually be broken. Deeb, known for his outspoken personality and strong tournament results, commented that Hellmuth “knows deep down” that his record-setting bracelet total is under real threat as the next generation of high-volume...
For the first time in its history, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) will allow players to rate the dealers at the 2026 tournament. This unprecedented move aims to increase transparency, improve dealer performance, and give players a voice in shaping the in-game experience. Traditionally, the focus at the WSOP has been solely on players’ performance, strategy, and bankroll management. Dealers, who play a crucial role in maintaining the pace, fairness, and integrity of each game, have largely...

Before naming sites, let’s be clear: not every site listed here is a confirmed scam. Some are historically proven bad actors, while others have consistent, serious player complaints in 2025–2026 that should make you cautious. 🚫 Proven / Historically Blacklisted Poker Sites These are not debatable—they’ve either scammed players, failed to pay, or were involved in cheating scandals: Lock Poker – infamous for delaying payouts for months (even years) (Poker Sites) UltimateBet – superuser...
Tournament poker can feel brutal, even for solid players. You can study, play well, make all the right decisions, and still brick tournament after tournament. That’s where variance comes in, and understanding it is essential if you want to stay sane and make long-term progress. Variance in poker refers to the natural swings in results caused by short-term luck. In tournaments, variance is significantly higher than in cash games. Why? Because payout structures are top-heavy, fields are...
Online poker has come a long way from its early 2000s boom, but its history isn’t exactly spotless. Alongside the growth of the game came a series of scandals involving “superuser” accounts, insider access, and questionable business practices that shook player confidence and forced the industry to mature. One of the most infamous cases involved UltimateBet. In the mid-2000s, players began noticing statistically impossible win rates from certain accounts. It was eventually uncovered that a...
I’ve updated the design on the leaderboard pages and added a new page for the PCF and Shark Tank home games schedule on StockPoker. I think the changes give everything a cleaner look and should help draw more attention to our games. What do you think?
Despite my efforts to try and ignite a spark in @padrespatty to grow DSP. He has ultimately decided close down the site. This email was sent to all DSP players: Note: PCF will not be moving our games over to 5Starz. I will compensate players that had at least 4 games played on our April leaderboard, $5 into their StockPoker accounts. If your screen name is listed here. You qualified for $5 as a token of appreciation for supporting us on DSP. @Chicago7482 (Sent $5 on 5Starz)...
I’ve decided that, moving forward, this will be the new logo representing our community. It still reflects our roots, but with a fresh look that I personally like much better. That said, I’m open to reverting to the old logo if the community prefers. Updated Poker Mania Badge: Which logo do you like better, or do you prefer the old one?

Hey all. I've been playing mobile poker apps (PPPoker, X-Poker,PokerBros, ClubGG) for a couple of years, mostly in Asian clubs.Built a comparison directory at poker-catalog where I track rakebackrates, club traffic, and agent reliability. Happy to answerquestions about the mobile poker world — it's a niche mosttraditional poker players don't know much about.
