Though rare, there are many successful gamblers who have made millions through gambling and still manage the wealth properly. I think the problem is that some gamblers don't know or disciplined enough to manage their winning! and bankroll. Poor financial management is the problem not gambling itself. What made those players very successful is quite simple! They are disciplined and they take bankroll management very seriously. They are able to gain such recognition as a reputable gambler because they are disciplined.

You are absolutely right! Gambling can be taken as any other business except that most gamblers don't know how to management their fund. If a gambler can manage his bankroll properly, he is more likely to become successful.

I have seen someone turn around his financial life through gambling. One big win and he used the money to start a business that made him financially secure. And he never approached gambling as a job from then on. There are some people that still win big and still squander the money on frivolities.
