This have been bothering me for a while which makes me wonder if one can use one bankroll for different poker formats like cash games and tournaments? Some people say that it's very risky but I'm not so sure.

With tournaments have bigger swings, do you think mixing everything together increases the chance of going broke or is it fine if one can manage their limits properly?

Yes you can use the same bankroll, and succeed in both cash games, and tourneys. I know a few that use their profits from cash games to help pay for their tournaments. However, I strongly prefer tournaments, and I try to stay clear of cash games.

Mixing bankroll is one of the fastest ways to go broke if you are not disciplined. I’ve seen it happen live. Different formats has different variance, so, they should not be approach with the same mindset.

You're right. Cash games are too dicy. I don't easily dive into it because I don't always get lucky with it very often.

What's the biggest you've won from cash games?
