I always lean toward cash games first. The structure is simpler and you get more repetition there. In tournaments, one bad spot can send you home after hours of waiting and that's so bad and rough for beginners.

I’d probably suggest cash games. The structure is simpler, the swings are usually easier to handle, and you get more opportunities to learn from similar situations. Tournaments can be fun, but the variance is higher and it can take a long time to see whether you're actually improving.

Personally, I also think cash games are a bit easier for beginners to get comfortable with. You can leave whenever you want, reload if needed, and learn at your own pace. Tournaments are exciting, but they can feel overwhelming when you're still figuring things out.

Hey all. I've been playing mobile poker apps (PPPoker, X-Poker,PokerBros, ClubGG) for a couple of years, mostly in Asian clubs.Built a comparison directory at poker-catalog where I track rakebackrates, club traffic, and agent reliability. Happy to answerquestions about the mobile poker world — it's a niche mosttraditional poker players don't know much about.
