I think as I've become a more experienced player, I've started bluffing less and avoiding unnecessary high-risk bluffs. I still pull off the occasional crazy bluff, but now I'm much more selective and calculated about when I do it. I try to pick spots where the story I'm telling actually makes sense instead of bluffing just for the sake of being aggressive.

How about you? Has your bluffing strategy changed over the years?

Over the years, I've become much more selective with my bluffs. I used to think bluffing often was the key to good poker, but now I believe it's more effective to pick the right spots and the right opponents. A well-timed bluff is far better than bluffing just for the sake of it.

When i started i thought bluffing meant playing fearlessly every time. That was a very expensive lesson learnt. Now I bluff less because I've learned that timing matter more than courage.

Most definitely. I realised that if you break the game down, you can identify when it's right to bluff. Best example is when too much of villains range folds.

For example, if I know you fold 35%(broken draws/floats etc) of the time on this river, then as long as I go half pot or smaller, I have identified so many more spots to bluff.

Maybe I'll even do a bluff article if you guys want 👍🏻

I used to bluff too often, but now I'm much more patient. These days, I look for situations where the story I'm telling makes sense and my opponent is actually capable of folding. Bluffing less often but choosing better spots has made a better player

I'm a firm believer that scared money doesn't make money in poker. Good decision-making and well-timed, educated bluffs can take you a long way. Sometimes, you have to be fearless and trust your reads.
