Would You Rather Play on Licensed Poker Sites Only?

Yeah, I would. Might miss out on some soft games, but knowing my money's safe and the game's fair is worth it. I have dealt with one shady site freezing my account over nothing years ago. Never again. Licensed sites cost a bit more in rake maybe, but they are safe.

    Unlicensed Online Poker Sites

Unlicensed sites are mostly bad. Sure, some unlicensed sites pay out fine for a while, but you're taking a chance every time. There can also be risks like rigged games, frozen accounts, no customer support, and suddenly shutting down with your money. Also no one to complain to if they cheat you.

Can you use freerolls tournament as source of income?

Freerolls are great for building a tiny bankroll from zero, but as steady income? No chance. Use them to learn and grind up a few bucks, then move to real stakes. Don't quit your day job though.

Do you prefer smaller poker sites or larger ones?

Larger ones for me. More players means you can find a game anytime, plus they usually have better software and faster support. Small sites can be cozy with softer games, but they might have low traffic or withdrawal issues. I'll take reliability over a slightly easier table any day.

What are the risks of playing at unregulated online sites?

There are plenty of risks. Sites can freeze your account, refuse payouts, or just disappear overnight . No one's checking if the games are fair, and your personal info could get stolen . Plus you've got zero legal backup if something goes wrong.

How do you find the best online Poker site?

Ask around in poker forums or Discord groups where people talk honestly. Avoid sites paying big affiliate bonuses, those are often the sketchy sites. Test customer support before depositing; if they're slow or rude, run. And always read the fine print on withdrawals. Some sites make it real hard...

Is it safe to play online internet poker?

Whether it is safe or not depends where you play. If you stick with licensed, reputable sites, you're mostly fine—l, they use encryption and fair play systems. The real danger is random apps or unlicensed sites with no oversight. Those can steal your data or refuse payouts. Also check your...

Do you play poker games within your financial limits?

I mostly remain in my limit but I slip up sometimes like everyone else. However, i have learned the hard way that chasing big wins when I can't afford it just ruins the fun. These days I stick to limits where a bad night stings but doesn't hurt.

How aggressive should you be when building a bankroll?

If you're okay reloading, take more shots. If every dollar counts, slow and boring wins. I tried being aggressive early on and busted twice. Now I'm more patient. Learn from my mistakes or make your own, just don't lie to yourself about the risk.

Should Bankroll Rules Be Different for Online vs Live Poker?

Yeah, live is way slower and softer. You can get away with fewer buy-ins because you're not getting crushed by volume or rake as fast. When playing Online, you need more cushion, those swings come at you quick. I'd say 20-30 buy-ins live, 40-50 online.

Shot-taking strategy: how do you do it?

I set aside a separate "shot fund" from my main roll. If I lose it, I drop back down and don't beat myself up. No reloading from the main stash. Later, I pick a good game, soft table, good mood, well-rested. One shot attempt per session max.

At what point do you decide to "move down" in stakes to rebuild?

When you start playing scared. If you're hesitating on standard bets or dreading the flop, you're already too high. I move down once I lose 30-40 percent of my roll. Some people wait longer, but by then they're already tilted.

How do you handle downswings without depleting your bankroll?

Drop stakes before you have to. That's the move most people usually get wrong. They wait too long and bleed out. I cut my limits early, play tighter, take a couple days off to clear my head. Also helps to remind yourself downswings end. They always do. Just don't chase. That's how you go broke.

Do you separate poker money from life money?

I try to. I have a separate checking account just for poker. When it's gone, it's gone until next deposit. Mixing life money with poker money is a disaster waiting to happen. You don't need much, just a clear line.

What are the best practices for managing your bankroll when playing live poker regularly?

Keep your cash separate, use envelopes or a dedicated pocket in your wallet. Track every session, win or loss. Don't bring more than you're willing to lose in a night. And here's a big one: leave your debit card at home. That impulse to pull more cash after a bad beat will destroy your roll fast.

How important is bankroll management in order to be a winning player?

It is very important but it is not the whole thing. You can have perfect bankroll rules and still be a losing player if your game sucks. And you can be a winning player with loose rules... until you're not. Eventually the math catches up. So yeah, you need both: good habits and good play.

What are some common bankroll management mistakes?

Playing above your head because you're bored. Dipping into your money for essentials after a loss. Not tracking results so you have no clue where you stand. Moving up after one lucky win. And the biggest one? Thinking you're the exception to the rules. We all think we are until we're broke.

Can you make $50 consistently in a day from poker?

I think you can but making that amount consistently can be tricky. You'll have winning days and losing days. Over a month, $50/day average is possible at 25NL or 50NL if you're solid. Just don't expect to hit it every single day. That's not how poker works. Set weekly goals instead

Do you consider bankroll management as a skill?

Yeah, but not a fun one. Anyone can learn the math, but actually sticking to it when you're tilted or on a heater? That's the real skill. Most players have the knowledge, they just don't have the discipline. So yeah, I'd call it a skill, which I'm still working on to become better

Do you ever break your bankroll rules? Be honest

All the time. Who doesn't? Last month I took a shot at 2/5 with like 10 buy-ins. Stupid, but it worked out. Next time it probably won't. I'm not proud of it, just being real. I think most players bend the rules when they're bored or on a heater.
