Managing your bankroll for regular live poker can be tricky. Most experienced players suggest keeping at least 20-30 buy-ins for the stakes you're playing, which helps you ride out the inevitable downswings without going broke. They also recommend never bringing more than 5% of your total bankroll to a single session, no matter how good the game looks. But here's what I'm curious about how do you actually stay disciplined when you're running hot and feeling confident? Do you stick to those percentages, or do you give yourself a little more freedom when things are going well?
I was literally talking about this with one friend that plays live cash games. He made profit three weekends straight and suddenly started carrying almost half his bankroll to sessions. One bad night wiped everything.

Also, with a love of playing poker. Nice to be accepted here!
