How Much Does Game Selection Matter Compared to Skill in Poker?

I think table selection is one of the biggest hidden skills in poker. Some players spend years studying strategy but refuse to leave terrible games. That's like opening a shop where nobody buys anything and calling it hard work.😂 Sometimes the smartest move is simply changing seats.

Essential Poker Concepts Every New Player Should Learn

New players love learning advanced tricks before understanding the basics. Learning when not to play is often more important than learning when to bluff. I remember when I started, I thought every hand was an opportunity but it was a big mistake.

What's the biggest strategic mistake you see recreational players make ?

Chasing losses has to be near the top of the list. People lose one hand and suddenly start chasing loses. Instead of sticking to good decisions, they start forcing themselves to win at all cost. It's the same way some people keep throwing money at a bad business hoping it will magically...

Playing For Fun Vs. Playing For Money

Anybody that says money doesn't matter is probably joking. The fun is there, but let's be honest, winning cash adds extra energy. At the same time, once money becomes the only reason you're playing, the game starts feeling like punishment. I've seen guys become miserable after every loss. For...

Do You Try and Help Other Players Improve at Poker?

I actually respect people who share knowledge a lot. A lot of folks behave like every strategy tip is a state secret. Meanwhile, stronger players create stronger communities. Back when I was learning, one experienced guy pointed out a mistake I kept making and it saved me plenty of money.

Is Fear of Losing Money the Biggest Leak in Poker?

Fear is a silent bankroll killer. You may know the correct move and still avoid it because you're thinking about the money. That is not strategy, that's anxiety. I know people who fold winning spots simply because they don't want to see their balance go down. Once fear starts controlling your...

How do you prevent boredom from affecting your gameplay?

Boredom has cost me more mistakes than bad luck. Once my mind starts wandering, I begin to make lazy decisions. I played worse whenever I was distracted by connection issues. These days I try focusing on opponents even when I'm not in a hand. Watching betting patterns keeps me engaged.

Do You Play Worse When You’re Running Good?

I actually think winning streaks are more dangerous than losing streaks for some players. When everything is working well, a lot of people start believing they can outplay the laws of probability. Before you know it, they're already chasing weak spots.

How Do You Reset Mentally Between Sessions?

Jumping straight back after a brutal session is how many people carry tilt into the next game. After a bad run, I step away completely. Even if it's just a short walk or watching football highlights. Sometimes the best move in poker is actually doing nothing for a while.

How Do You Handle Downswings Without Changing Your Game?

This one is the real test of discipline. What helps me in such situation is reviewing hands instead of staring at the results. If the decision was correct, I move on. The moment you start changing a winning strategy because of short-term losses, that's when the problem starts. Ive seen people...

A record no other UFC fighter might have

That Khabib record still look like a myth sometimes. But I dont think he is alien, it’s just extreme discipline. I was watching his old clips and it shows how consistency is more difficult than talent. No bleeding, no lost rounds, sounds crazy but it’s just about control and absolute preparation.

Who has the most complete skill set in MMA right now?

I still lean toward Islam Makhachev type of fighters. There is no unnecessary drama, it's just full control all through. I respects fighters who don’t rely on one style alone. A complete fighter is someone you cant easily find any weakness in.

Who's the most overrated fighter on the current UFC roster?

Saying Tom Aspinall is overrated is wild to me. For me, I think the hype around some strikers can be too much sometimes. With just one clean fight, everybody has started to crown them the best. Meanwhile, consistency is what matters. Let the fighter prove themselves over time, not just using one...

Your predictions for the World Cup 2026 winner

This one is a little difficult to predict, but I’ll still go with Argentina or France because of their style of play. The team with discipline and midfield control will win. Last World Cup, I trusted England and I was so disappointed.

Has the World Cup 2026 surprised you so far?

I saw that match and I just laughed because this is exactly why I dont bet emotionally again. Small teams now defend their goal post like it's a national treasury. 😂 Even the so-called big teams are not safe anymore. Honestly, this tournament has already shown that no match is guaranteed.

Did you graduate from the university?

Yes, but I've stopped believing that university is the only path to success. I know graduates still searching for opportunities and I know people without degrees doing very well for themselves. The world has changed. Skills now matter a lot more than before. University can still open doors to...

What's the question you wish people stop asking you?

The one that annoys me is "when are you getting married?" My brother, people ask that question too much. Some people will see you after months and that's the first thing that comes out of their mouth. They don't know what you are dealing with financially or personally.

What would be your dream way to make money?

My dream isn't even about becoming a billionaire overnight. I want income that keeps coming whether I'm actively working or not. This is exactly why I stopped chasing every shiny online opportunity that appeared. Money is good, but having control of your time is the real luxury these days.

    Arman Tsarukyan cashes $5.7M bet

That's the kind of bet that only someone rich can comfortably place. If I had $1 million, putting everything on one fighter would still give me sleepless nights. One bad referee decision and the money is gone. The risk level of that kind of bet is crazy. Winning looks sweet when we hear the...

Do you think we will ever see an age of wireless?

As nice as a fully wireless world sounds, I don't think we'll ever get rid of wires completely. Somebody still has to charge all those wireless devices. Sometimes one simple cable saves you plenty of stress.
