With all the changes in poker over the years, is it still realistic to grind up from $0?

I think you can, but it’s tough and very slow. Freerolls have huge fields and small payouts, so progress takes time. It’s possible if you’re patient, consistent, and disciplined with bankroll management.
Most players use freerolls as a starting point, then move to low-stakes games.

It's very possible but it could be overwhelming. 😅 You could start from zero but your patience must be on another level. With the data cost and time you will spend, sometimes it doesn't even worth it.

Freerolls give you zero-risk entry into real games, so in theory you can grow from nothing. The challenge is the competition is usually very high variance, with many inexperienced players and huge fields, so consistent wins are rare.
