If I’ve been on a heater, I’ll occasionally take a shot at a bigger buy-in, but I try to stay disciplined with my bankroll management and avoid breaking my rules.

How about you? Do you ever break your bankroll management rules?

I have broken my bankroll rules multiple times. I have lost some clean profit due to this. Discipline is hard but it's very important. If you lack control, you will keep losing your games.

Sometimes I break my own bankroll rules. I end up breaking my bankroll rules when I am in winning streaks or even in losing streaks. Sometimes when you are too much involved in the game, it is always difficult to stay within your own rules.

You should have intermittently scheduled " shot takes " in your BR management. Say once a month find a game within the structure thst suits you best and play larger. This gives you something to look forward to and a "reward" for your good behavior. It keeps me in line the rest of the time.
