Does sports betting worth long term investment?

There are professional gamblers or sports bettors making thousands of dollars monthly through sports betting. These professional bettors follow strict bankroll management. Moreover, they call it business and take it as such. With dedication and commitment, sports betting can be a a long term investment.
Betting can be lucrative if you call it business. If you are a newbie, you should better start gradually until you learn the basics!

I beg to disagree. I have been in sports betting long enough to know that it is not an investment and would never be one. The odds are always against you the bettor. How come it is an investment? I can never consider sports betting as an investment. You have less than 10% chance of winning in sports betting.

Betting is not a pension plan. Yes, some people are profitable in it , but the majority are funding the system. If you treat it like a business, manage the risk involved, maybe you can survive. But calling it “investment” can mislead people.

I think it’s possible to sustain long-term winning in sports betting, but for me it’s not something I’m willing to commit to as a main source of income.

I do enjoy occasionally betting on sports or making small wagers against friends or family for a bit of money and bragging rights.
