late registration

[bonita]

Is there any advantage to registering late (right before addons) in tournaments? I see players in both freerolls and paid tournaments do this all the time, and seems to be to their advantage.

I like taking advantage of late registration, as I believe joining late has its benefits, especially in games with an add-on. I prefer to register before the add-on period ends, but I wouldn't do that in PCF home games because I believe it's bad etiquette when I'm the host.
