Bayern Munich head to Mainz on November 7, and on paper, the visitors look like the stronger side. They've collected 18 points from their opening eight Bundesliga matches without losing, while Mainz have had a difficult spell, conceding nine goals across their last three defeats.
Still, I don't think this will necessarily be a one-sided game. Mainz have managed to score in their recent league matches, and Bayern haven't been particularly convincing defensively lately. Their last five completed competitive matches all saw at least four goals, with both teams finding the net.
My prediction is Mainz 1–3 Bayern Munich. Bayern's attacking quality should give them the advantage, but Mainz could get on the scoresheet if they make the most of their chances.
A few things I'm keeping an eye on:
What do you think – comfortable Bayern win, or could Mainz make this much closer than expected?

A few things I'm keeping an eye on:
- Can Mainz take advantage of Bayern's recent defensive lapses?
- Will Harry Kane get another goal against Mainz?
- Could Bayern's midweek European fixture affect their performance?
- Do you expect another high-scoring match?
