Thomas Zanot Can’t Stop Hitting Jackpots — Another $1M Score at WSOP 2025

At this point, calling Thomas Zanot lucky might be an understatement.

The Arizona-born poker pro, now based in Las Vegas, just hit his second massive seven-figure payday — this time at the 2025 World Series of Poker, where he pulled the second $1,000,000 mystery bounty during Day 2 of Event #1: $1,000 Mystery Millions.

And get this — it’s not even close to being the biggest win of his life.

From Pai Gow to Poker Glory

Before this weekend, Zanot made headlines back in January 2023, when he turned a $5 Pai Gow side bet at the Flamingo into a mind-blowing $6.4 million jackpot — the biggest Vegas payout of that year. That hand? A seven-card straight flush, completed with the Joker acting as the missing K♠. Pure insanity.

He’d reportedly been grinding for 11 hours, down a few hundred bucks, before that one magical hand flipped the script.

Fast forward to WSOP 2025, and once again, lightning struck. With over 19,600 entries in Mystery Millions and 1,045 bounties in play, Zanot tore open the envelope and saw the million-dollar slip. In classic hype fashion, he clenched his fist and shouted “Let’s go!” live on the mic inside Paris Ballroom.

Not His First Rodeo — or Controversy

Unlike Tyler Montoya, who pulled the first $1M bounty earlier the same day and busted out shortly after, Zanot was still in the tournament at time of publishing — meaning he could still win the title and possibly double his payday.

It’s not all sunshine though. If you followed the 2024 WSOP Main Event, you might remember Zanot’s name from a bit of controversy:

He got into it with another player over an alleged angle shoot, despite not being involved in the hand. Security was brought in, and Zanot received a one-round penalty. Passionate or out of line? Depends who you ask — but it definitely made waves.

“Luckiest Gambler Alive”?

With $1.3 million in live tournament earnings and another $7.4M+ in total jackpots over just a few years, Zanot’s name is starting to sound less like a grinder and more like a poker-world myth.

Two million-dollar wins — one from a slot-like casino game, another from a 19,000+ field poker event. The odds of that? Basically nonexistent.

Could He Win Both?

As of now, Zanot’s still deep in the field, playing for a shot at the bracelet and another $1M prize from the main pool. If he pulls that off? We might need to start testing that lucky chip of his for magic.

If you ask me, I will say Thomas Zanot is on fire. The two massive wins of $6.4 million Pai Gow jackpot and a $1 million mystery bounty is a hook.

Thomas Zanot must be most lucky human alive today! All the winning is pure luck with no skill or hard work ever. Winning $1 million bounty without much ado plus $6.4 million in 2023. Who said that luck does not exist?
