For the first time in its history, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) will allow players to rate the dealers at the 2026 tournament. This unprecedented move aims to increase transparency, improve dealer performance, and give players a voice in shaping the in-game experience.

Traditionally, the focus at the WSOP has been solely on players’ performance, strategy, and bankroll management. Dealers, who play a crucial role in maintaining the pace, fairness, and integrity of each game, have largely gone unrecognized by the participants themselves. The new initiative, however, flips the script: players will now have the opportunity to evaluate dealers on criteria such as speed, accuracy, professionalism, and overall table demeanor.

WSOP officials believe this feedback system will enhance accountability while also motivating dealers to consistently deliver top-tier service. Players, meanwhile, are divided in their reactions. Some see it as a positive step toward a more interactive and player-focused tournament environment, while others worry it could create unnecessary tension at the tables.

Regardless of the debate, this development signals a broader trend in competitive poker: the recognition that every role at the table, from chip shufflers to dealers, matters in creating a seamless, high-quality experience for participants and spectators alike.

As the 2026 WSOP approaches, all eyes will be on both the players and the dealers.

The question remains: will this rating system elevate the game or complicate it?

Hey all.
