Patience is key for me. You don't have to fold all the time, but sometimes you need to wait for a better hand. I try as much as possible to observe my opponents well and I'm not always in a rush. Also, a little bluffing here and there can help but it shouldn't be too much.
 
My best tip is to stay calm and think straight no matter what happens. Once emotions take over, your decisions get messy. Keep your focus, pick your spots and don’t let anyone pull you out of your zone. That steady mindset will save you more chips than any fancy strategy.
