PokerStars Italy is set to transform the online poker scene as it begins migrating Sisal’s players onto a new Sisal-branded PokerStars Italy platform. Previously part of the iPoker Network, Sisal’s online poker operations will now benefit from PokerStars’ extensive offerings, including enhanced liquidity, robust game integrity protections, and an expanded variety of poker formats.

The migration is scheduled to wrap up just in time for the €12 million guaranteed Winter Series, running from December 25 to January 21. Highlights include the €1.5 million guaranteed Sunday Million on January 5, the largest single tournament guarantee in PokerStars Italy history.

Sisal players will continue using their existing accounts but gain access to a wide array of exciting tournaments and events, such as:

• Sunday Million
• Winter Series
• MicroMillions
• SCOOP/ICOOP Majors
• Weekly favorites like Night on Stars, Bigs, Hots, and Bounty Builders
• Opportunities to qualify for PokerStars EPT and PokerStars Open live events

• Additional series like Carnival and Galactic Series

• A broader selection of cash games

Looking ahead, PokerStars plans to introduce Home Games in the first half of 2025, allowing players to create private tournaments and cash games. Additionally, the Power Path, a feature that has already gained massive popularity on the main PokerStars platform, will soon launch for Italian players.

Casinò di Campione Joins the Action

Adding to the excitement, Casinò di Campione has partnered with Sisal and PokerStars to launch a dedicated poker room and host live events, further solidifying their commitment to Italy’s poker community.

Flutter Entertainment’s Strategic Move

This migration marks another milestone for Flutter Entertainment, the parent company of PokerStars, which acquired Sisal for €1.91 billion in a deal finalized in August 2022. Flutter’s CEO, Peter Jackson, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating:

“Adding Sisal, Italy’s leading gaming brand, to the group positions us to pursue a comprehensive omnichannel strategy in the Italian market. Sisal’s growth and innovation align perfectly with Flutter’s scale and differentiated products.”

Sisal not only operates online poker, casino games, and sports betting but is also the licensee for national lotteries in Italy, Morocco, and Turkey.

With these developments, Italian poker players are poised to enjoy a richer and more dynamic gaming experience, solidifying PokerStars’ position as a leader in the market.

Hey all. I've been playing mobile poker apps (PPPoker, X-Poker,PokerBros, ClubGG) for a couple of years, mostly in Asian clubs.Built a comparison directory at poker-catalog where I track rakebackrates, club traffic, and agent reliability. Happy to answerquestions about the mobile poker world — it's a niche mosttraditional poker players don't know much about.
