StockPoker Team Ideas

We'll soon start recruiting teams for our leaderboard in JULY. You'll be able to start your own team, and invite players to join your team. Team managers will have permission to boot players, but it must be approved by an admin.

Leaderboard prizes for teams will be based on how many players participate, and pay the $5 entry free. I will talk to @Stock Poker about holding the player funds for team prizes at the end of July. I will have the teams feature ready in the next few days.

The top teams on the leaderboard will win a share of the leaderboard prizes from entry fee's by all team players. Each player that plays our home games will earn points for their team on the teams leaderboard(coming soon).

After discussing the teams idea with @lbrew1 and @Aussiepoker we've decided it'd be only fair if teams were randomly generated. However each team will have a captain, and a co-captain. So 2 players will be randomly added to each team(participating players that paid the $5 fee).

Thoughts? We'll announce how team prizes will be distributed in a day or two.

So we discussed more ideas for the teams on @Aussiepoker TWITCH earlier. Nothing is final until the teams feature is coded.
All ideas must be approved by myself, @lbrew1, and @Aussiepoker

Team Idea Summary:

• Teams will be divided based on points on leaderboard at end of month and play a team finals, maybe elimination tourneys/sngs to determine a champ.
• Each player earns points for their team on a team leaderboard
• Every player pays a fee to participate in team leaderboard, and will be randomly sorted to a team
• Teams will have captains(2?), and players will be assigned to teams with available spots randomly. I will set a deadline for new teams, and for every player to pay the entry fee.
• (?4) players per team including 2 team captains or no cap on how many players per team, but only allow a certain amount of teams to join.
• Prizes will be based on entry fees from players on every team. Feedback on how we should distribute team prizes is appreciated.

All ideas are open for discussion, and our aim is to make teams as fair as possible for the community.

I like the idea of a team competition but not random team assignments. If there were "designated" captains" that entered the team (players) of their choice, I would participate. if there were 4 or 5 teams of 4 players it seems that would work. just my thoughts

Should I try to get teams done for December? If anyone has any ideas for teams, let me know before everything is coded.
