The easy way to get your account ban in online poker sites is using VPN. In fact, it is against the terms of services for most poker sites. It is better to choose a poker site from your location or where you are residing than risking your fund. If you must use VPN in poker site, is better to inform them first and get your approval before depositing fund. Most of online poker sites are likely to waive it, if you give them enough reason for using VPN

I am not a fan of taking risks. Why would someone have to use a VPN on a poker site? There are many reputable poker sites that exists and at least one would be available for your location. And as @magnus2022 said, just inform the admins before hand.

Using VPN raise suspicion for security concerns. A lot of people use VPN to open multiple accounts to cheat the system but it is not to say that there are no players that are using VPN for legitimate reasons like privacy purposes. However, it’s crucial to check the terms and conditions of the site before using it.

The only site I know that's VPN friendly is VangPoker. I think allowing VPN usage on a poker sites doesn't give the poker room very much creditability, and allows for multi-accounting/collusion.

In the real world, your nationality doesn't prevent you from entering a casino. The same logic should apply in the virtual world—using a VPN, by itself, does not give any unfair advantage to the player.

In many countries, including mine, there are severe restrictions on access to the open internet. VPNs are a necessity just to connect to the outside world. In other regions, online poker itself is restricted or banned, and a VPN becomes essential to even access the platforms.

When it comes to multi-accounting, there are dozens of simpler and more undetectable ways to cheat than just using a VPN. Poker sites are still unable to fully detect those methods. I've said many times that the only real way to make a poker site truly fair is to verify each player's identity before they start playing. So far, only one site I know of actually enforces this.

Regarding what our friend magnus2022 suggested—asking the site directly—the unfortunate reality is that most sites won’t tell you the truth. They’ll clearly state that VPN usage is not allowed, while secretly allowing it through their affiliate agents. Even VangPoker publicly deny VPN usage but allow it silently through agents. The only major site that openly allows VPNs is CoinPoker.

As for the rest of the networks, it’s an open secret that almost all of them quietly permit VPN use, as long as it’s done through intermediaries.

You're absolutely right about the VPN thing. Most poker sites will freeze your account and funds if they catch you using one. It's just not worth the risk, especially when there are usually legal sites available in your area anyway. If you really need a VPN for security reasons, definitely contact support first - better safe than sorry with your bankroll.

I don’t use VPN. I have no reason to use VPN. Sometimes, I find some poker sites blocked in my region. In a situation like this I just forget about it and go to another site
