A thread resurfaced about one old beginner advice like “just play tight and wait.” That myth has cost many so many players a lot. Poker strategy evolves fast, and following rigid rules rarely survive the modern aggression. It's a big mistake when you oversimplify a complex game. What sounded safe years ago doesn’t guarantee profit now.

When I first started playing poker, I truly believed that bluffing constantly was the key to looking like a strong player. After losing plenty of chips, I realized most low-stakes games are more about patience, value betting, and avoiding unnecessary hero plays.

"Everything us under my control and I can get out without major losses as I will not chase loss"
This mind set is present in a lot of people and I also thought the same way. However, once you start playing, you will get carried away and you start making emotional decision one after another.

When I first got into poker, I thought aggressive players were always the strongest players at the table. After playing more, I realized a lot of aggression is just pressure without real balance behind it.
