When you move fromow stakes to progress into higher betting levels, what runs across your mind? But I do think that it's neccessary to be disciplined coupled with having more than enough skills before you move to higher stakes.

I actually find micro-stakes really hard to play, because you'll get people there who just don't care and will call all ins with 7-2 and other such stupidness. It's really hard to get reads on players in these kinds of microstakes games, because the player turnover is usually quite big too. I don't really bother with them anymore - they're not good for honing your poker craft imo.

biggest difference for me is you have to be ready to play whole ranges and get in uncomfortable spots post flop more often. if you dont have pre flop ranges locked down theres no point moving up cos that is what makes those uncomfortable spots managable just by knowing or having an understanding of pre flop spots. the rest is cosmetic pre flop is everything in mtts

At high stakes, players are more aggressive, so you need a solid foundation to navigate those tricky post-flop spots. Micro stakes can be more forgiving, but moving up requires a tighter, more thoughtful approach.

Micro stakes games tend to be more straightforward. To do well at the higher levels means being able to adjust to the higher aggression and of greater complexity too but you must understand the dynamics of the game.

The biggest difference between micro stakes and high stakes online is the level of competition. At high stakes, players are usually more skilled and experienced, requiring better strategies. Also, the financial risks and rewards are much greater at the higher levels.
