Betting is one of the most important aspects of poker, and the basic understanding of strategies can really make a difference in one's game. The beginner must first learn the basic concepts on which the advanced strategies are based. The better the beginner understands the basics, the more informed the betting decisions will be at the table.

I would recommend learning about value betting. Here's an article I wrote on value bets almost a year ago: https://poker.community/threads/extracting-value-from-opposing-players.436/

New players also over raise when they get premium hands, play the hands like you normally would, and you'll get paid more. You don't want experienced players to pick up on betting patterns.

As Bawse kind of pointed out above, it's best not to stick to a certain betting pattern or "rule" of how to bet based on certain hands - this will lead to experienced poker players quickly picking up even narrower ranges from you when assessing your bets. For this exact reason, every now and then I do something a bit strange at the table - I'll raise a 6-9 unsuited pre-flop or something.

Just to keep the players I know are vastly more experienced than me on their toes. :p

The beginners should focus on observing their opponent's betting habits and adjust their strategies accordingly. Adaptability is a key to winning at the poker table.

The best way to bet for a newbie is simply to observe the betting patterns of the players around him and bet based on what he sees. He also has to refrain from following a particular betting pattern since expert players will learn this very quickly and alter their game to topple their opponents.

I think a beginner should first concentrate on understanding the basics of poker game. The second step is to practice by playing with experience players until he is able to build confidence. After this, he will adopt a strategy that he is comfortable with.

When I was starting out, just focusing on the basics made a huge difference—watching a few hands and learning when to fold or bet really helped. I also checked out thespiritmolecule.com for some casual casino online tips, and seeing different strategies in action made it click even more. Once the fundamentals sink in, your decisions at the table feel a lot more natural and less random.

Life is like a game of poker: it is not about what cards you are dealt, but how you play them.
