What bad beat/hand burns away at your soul? Do you have any hands in poker, that you wish you could forget?

I want to hear about your most painful that's that you played... MAX PAIN

My most painful hand was on FullTiltPoker, and I was playing when I was 14 using my mothers account/name. I had a very good week while they were on vacation, and long story short... I managed to build a bankroll playing freerolls, cash games and tournaments up to $2000+ from $0.

That's the good part, here's the painful part. Before my mother got home from vacation, I asked her to make a minimum deposit using her credit card so I can withdraw my winnings. I then decided to hop back into a cash game after depositing the minimum, not long after... I lost it all, JJ Vs AA all in preflop($5/$10 stakes). It was a hard lesson learned, and I learned many lessons after that to be strict with bankroll management. TRUST THE PROCCESS.

What's your max pain story/hand?

I didn't have it, but watched a guy having a hot night and had a pretty strong hand and bet it all, someone else beat him barely and the guy looked like he was about to cry.

I've had a few bad beats over the years but this one stands out atm, this was before kids so 10+ years ago now, i won a satty to play in a $44 Bounty builder on Pokerstars during a series so the gtd was extra juicy might of been a SCOOP event, im sitting 2/46 with $700+ in bountys get dealt AA UTG i open there is a 3bet from mid position then the CL on the button jams all in. me and him are 30+bbs ahead of 3rd place but he covers me by 2bbs, my heart starts pounding as it is just the sickest spot i call the all in and mid position snaps behind me also. AA vs KK vs KK, i lost to a 4 card flush and the cl who covers me by 2bbs has the K of clubs and scoops everything. i felt sick in my stomach that day and it took 3+ days before i logged back in, was 1 of the biggest energy dumps ive ever felt in poker. still sickening to think of now at times

Losing a big chunk like that after building it up from nothing has to sting hard. I haven’t had a story exactly like yours, but I’ve had moments where I mismanaged a small stack or pushed a hand too far and paid the price immediately. Those hands stick with you because they teach the hard lessons; patience, discipline, and bankroll control. Painful at the moment but they shape how you play going forward.

Mine was in a deep-stacked cash game. I was in control as everything was falling for me. I slow played top set on a dry board, I really felt in control. I called confidently, but before I could say "jack", my opponent flipped over a perfectly run-out straight. That was the worst times in poker that I have seen great spots turn to absolute disasters within seconds.
