I grew up watching the golden age, when Hulk Hogan was starting to get his Hulkermania going. I loved the larger-than-life characters, and how the old roster could compete for the various belts. Even a mid-carder could at some stage get a push, where these days WWE only ever pushes the wrestlers they want.
Sometimes the odd one can get over, but they have to push for it themselves. I like AEW for the matches, and how they tend to rotate who is challenging for their main title.
I miss the Monday Night Wars, when even though it is fake it seemed real. It was enjoyable, now wrestlers don't have much personality, it's scripted and a bit of a slog to watch.
