What does it mean when someone says "the nuts"?

I was scrolling through a poker forum and a member kept writing "the nuts". I didn't understand this quite well. Imagine a newcomer reading that without context. Poker terminology are very funny sometimes. Some expressions sound completely different outside of card games. But after i finally understood the meaning, i just laughed because I had imagined something else entirely.

Nuts = best possible hand (You have them by the nuts)

 

[Ace]

"The nuts" means the best possible hand that can be made at that moment, given the community cards on the board. If someone has the nuts, no other player can have a stronger hand until another community card is dealt.
