I think coin is better. The difference between coin and token is confusing to so many people, but it's simple if you think about it well. Coin has its own blockchain like Bitcoin. It runs on Bitcoin network, Ethereum run on Ethereum network. They are like the landlords.
Token do not have their own blockchain. They run on top of another blockchain, like how tenant that stays in the landlord house. Example is USDT, Shiba Inu, and plenty of DeFi tokens that are runing on Ethereum network. So, they are tokens, not coins.
