Most users never post, comment, review, or upload anything online despite being active in multiple platforms. Why do some people stay invisible online despite spending hours on platforms daily? How often do you post?

It’s easier to lurk than to add something of value. I usually only comment when I feel I actually have something meaningful to contribute to the discussion.
Have to agree with this. You will find that a lot of the time, the people who tend to consume content and do not always create content themselves tend to be those kinds of people who are quite shy, and tend to keep quiet themselves unless they have something to say that would be interesting.

I used to be like that, especially when it came to creating videos and such on places like TikTok, but over time, I started thinking of ideas that I thought would do well, and now I create content too :)

I used to be active online back then when data was still “manageable,” now even typing comment feels like luxury due to data prices. Sometimes I just read some posts and laugh a little. I don't have the energy to type anything deep like I used to.

Consuming content is easy, all you need to do is open the app and the just keep on scrolling. However, creating content takes a lot of time and effort. Some people are too lazy to put on effort and invest time in creating content. Another reason is they don't know what to create or share on the platforms

I think most people consume content rather than create it because consuming is easy and requires little effort. Creating takes time, skill, confidence, and the willingness to be judged. Many people have ideas to share, but hesitation and fear of criticism often stop them from posting.

The workflow to create content is not easy at all. You would have to plan, think of a script, get people in to assist and all of that. You even need equipment too. Many people that just view contents and don't create don't have strength for the rigours of content creation.

To be fair, it's a lot easier to consume contents than to create one, this is one of the reasons why so many people would rather consume than create.

To be fair, I think it's easier to consume and lurk. Especially when you see something that doesn't pose of an interest for you to comment, or you're just reading, or watching something that sparked your interested.

Consuming content is done by a lot of people, it's a habit, and sometimes, life gets busy when some aren't able to post, so they consume instead.

That’s very true. Consuming content is passive act, where as creating content takes a lot of effort.
