Which poker variant involves the most luck?

I think 5-card PLO and Pineapple are among the luckiest variants of poker. I consistently see full houses lose to better full houses in 5-card PLO. Even when you flop the nuts, there’s a good chance it won’t still be best by the river. What poker variant do you think has the most luck involved?

Should the "One Player to a Hand" rule be strictly enforced in casual home games?

Yes, it should be one player per hand, but I can understand why beginners might need help learning the game in home games. I suppose it’s okay as long as the table agrees on it.

Why Do Some Players Stick to One Variant Instead of Exploring Others?

Sticking to one variant helps you develop your skills specifically for your chosen game, which can lead to better results by focusing on what you’re good at and sticking with it. This is also why I primarily play tournaments, because I’m a strong tournament player.

How Important Is Emotional Control Compared to Technical Skill in Poker?

I think disciplined players perform better than skilled players if those skilled players cannot control their emotions.

Why Do Some Players Overvalue Aggression in Modern Poker?

A lot of players don't have the patience to sit through the full duration of a tournament. Aggression can definitely pay off in cash games, where you have the flexibility to reload and capitalize on profitable situations more frequently.

What Makes Live Poker Reads So Different From Online Play?

Physical tells can be valuable in live poker, but online you have to rely on the action. Betting patterns, timing, and how players approach different situations can reveal a lot of information if you're paying attention.

Why Do Players Misjudge Variance Even After Years of Playing Poker?

I’m very self-aware, and I’m often my own toughest critic. I try to learn from my experiences, and continue developing good habits. Your approach is key, trust the process, and stay consistent.

Do you watch football on weekends?

I really only watch the Super Bowl when it comes to American football, and I don’t watch soccer, there just isn’t enough scoring for me to enjoy it.

How do players typically read their opponents’ tells during a live poker session?

It depends on the player. Some players have very obvious physical tells in live poker, while others are much harder to read. If you're observant, you can often pick up valuable information from a player's behavior, timing, or body language that can help influence your decisions.

How do you read someone in poker?

Since I play primarily online, I rely heavily on betting patterns and player tendencies. I also pay close attention to the action even when I'm not involved in a hand, as it helps me pick up reads on opponents. While you don't have physical tells online, there's still plenty of information...

Does wearing sunglasses hide your tells or just make you look like a target?

If I were playing a major live tournament, I'd probably wear shades, a hat, and a hoodie to help hide my tells. I'm primarily an online player, so I think it's smart to minimize any edge that experienced live players might gain from reading physical tells. While I know betting patterns and...

What Causes Players to Misread “Timing Tells” in Online Poker?

I think players often time out because they're multi-tabling, but I've also seen some players consistently run down the clock. I hate when it's done, especially early in a tournament when there aren't many important decisions to make. I try not to let it affect my decision-making, but it can...

Essential Poker Concepts Every New Player Should Learn

I think one of the most important concepts for new players to learn is that poker is a game of long-term decisions, not short-term results. You can make the right play and still lose the hand, just like you can make a bad play and get lucky. Other fundamentals I'd recommend focusing on are...

How Aggressive Should You Be on the Bubble?

I think bubble play is one of the most misunderstood parts of tournament poker. The correct level of aggression depends heavily on stack sizes, payout structure, and how the rest of the table is playing. If you have a big stack, it's often a great opportunity to apply pressure on medium stacks...

Hey all. Happy to answerquestions about the mobile poker world — it's a niche mosttraditional poker players don't know much about.
